Karnell’s subsidiary Rotomon Oy has successfully completed an asset transaction with RoadPipe Suomi Oy (www.roadpipe.fi) on 29 December 2022. RoadPipe’s competences in the design and production of chambers, pumping stations and separators are key strategic complements to Rotomon.
The acquired RoadPipe business consists of the design and production of custom-made chambers, pumping stations and separators. The typical RoadPipe customers include infrastructure construction and civil engineering companies with high product know-how and on-time delivery requirements. RoadPipe’s products are often delivered directly to the site and the company’s production site in the Helsinki area combined with its own vehicles securing flexible and on-time deliveries. RoadPipe forecasts to generate net sales of EUR 3.5m in 2022 with an operating margin of approx. 10%. The company employs 10 people and is strategically located in Tuusula, 20km north of Helsinki.
“Combining product offerings will strengthen both of us in the market and Rotomon is now fully equipped to deliver more turnkey solutions to existing and new customers. With this acquisition, Rotomon gets a production site in Southern Finland closer to many infrastructure and civil engineering construction sites. Further, the acquisition of RoadPipe’s business increases Rotomon’s share of in-house manufactured products especially in tailor-made chambers, pumping stations and separators. Together with the team from RoadPipe we can serve our customers even better than today. The combined entity will have a personnel of 55 and net sales of close to EUR 17m in 2022.”, says Antti Kuukkanen CEO at Rotomon.
